Recovery process

At SAVOLDI SRL, our commitment to sustainability is embodied in a structured and precise process for waste management and recovery. Each step is designed to maximize the value of waste materials, turning them into useful resources for the circular economy. This is how we operate:

1. Production of the Waste

Our work begins where the waste is produced, whether in industrial or urban settings. From manufacturing companies to construction sites, from urban centers to commercial activities, any waste can be recovered and put back into the production cycle. We work with our clients to identify and manage recyclable materials in the best possible way.

2. Recovery and Transportation

Once the materials have been identified, we go into action with direct recovery. We use specialized vehicles, such as dump trucks, crane trucks and moving-floor trucks, to ensure safe and efficient transportation to our plant. This stage is crucial to ensuring optimal management and complying with environmental regulations.

3. Analysis and Sorting

Upon arrival at our plant in Albano S. Alessandro (BG), the materials undergo an initial analysis. Through careful manual and automated sorting, we separate waste by type and quality, preparing it for subsequent processing steps. This step is essential to ensure the maximum possible recovery.

4. Processing of Materials

The sorted waste is then processed using state-of-the-art technology. Our main processes include:

  • Preshearing of metals: To reduce the volume of scrap metal and optimize its delivery.
  • Compaction of paper and cardboard: Compacting into bales for easy storage and transport to the paper mill.
  • Recovery of copper from electrical cables: An operation aimed at enhancing the value of this valuable material.
  • Semi-automatic sorting of collection glass: Thanks to a specific sorting plant, we are able to separate glass from metals, making the most of them.

5. Preparation and Delivery for Secondary Raw Material Users.

Once processed, the recovered materials are transformed into secondary raw material ready to be used by new production chains. We collaborate with specialized industries and companies to provide them with high-quality materials, thus contributing to the reduction of virgin resource extraction and energy conservation.
