According to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s definition circular economy “is a generic term for an economy designed to be able to regenerate itself.
In a circular economy, material flows are of two types: biological ones, capable of being reintegrated into the biosphere, and technical ones, destined to be revalorized without entering the biosphere.”

2023

  • 630 Kw Photovoltaic Park Installation

2018

  • New shear press for ferrous and nonferrous metal processing, resulting in increased productivity and efficiency of the production process. Construction of a new shed.

2017

  • The company became Savoldi S.r.l., continuing the family business, with more innovation and always looking for new ways to select materials and their enhancement. An electric cable grinding mill is installed.

2013

  • Container rental is becoming an increasingly popular service, and the company is investing in containers and press containers, enriching its offerings.
  • Son Marco begins to take up the business.

2011

  • Marcello at the head of the new company Savoldi Luigi S.r.l., continues his father's business with great initiative.
  • The management system for quality and environment is certified to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standards.

2009

  • A mixed glass sorting plant is installed and the quality management system is certified to UNI EN ISO 9001.

2007

  • The company operates intensively in the provinces of Bergamo, Brescia and Milan and introduces constant renewal of the vehicle fleet to offer effectiveness and efficiency to its Customers.
  • Radiometric control portals are installed, and the level of product quality is increased.

2002

  • The company is relocated to Albano S.Alessandro, in an area of about 15,000 square meters, expanding the market network.
  • The facility is licensed to trade, broker and treat special recyclable waste, such as ferrous and nonferrous metals, paper, glass, wood and plastic.

1990

  • The company began to take on an important role in Bergamo's trade by increasing volumes and diversifying the materials handled.

1986

  • As activity increases, new trucks and two hydraulic loaders are introduced for better material handling.
  • A hydraulic press is also installed to compact paper and cardboard into bales.

1981

Savoldi Luigi & C. S.n.c. was born, where the family management of the company continues thanks to the son Marcello, who with passion and will takes an important role in the company management.

1975

  • Son Marcello started the business, and a shear press was installed for processing ferrous and nonferrous metals.

1970

  • The scrap collection and trading business conducted by Luigi grew, and the first hydraulic loaders were purchased for better material handling.
  • The company site consists of about 8,000 square meters, including two warehouses.

1969

  • Expansion of the shed and installation of the first scrap metal press.

1963-1968

  • Purchase of various equipment such as a crane truck, a crane truck for loading scrap and a shear for cutting ferrous materials delivered to the foundry.

  • Pasquale Savoldi, together with his son Luigi, started a small business collecting rags, scrap iron, scrap metal and waste paper, undertaking a small craft business in the town of Villa di Serio, in the province of Bergamo. A few family members, a lot of willingness, and the goal of enhancing the value of recovered materials.
